"Letters to Juliet," #2

     "Letters to Juliet," #2

                 Letters to Juliet, #2

My dearest Juliet, another day another night,

another hour after midnight, without any sleep,

My tears unlike my once warm blood,

continuously over flowed

and all I have in return is weep.

I find now, what I have been missing,

without you in this life

and will be forced,

 to live with forever.

These empty without you nights,

 I have come accustomed too

but surrenders to, (no not), never.

I’ve counted the many distances of stars,

 and wished upon the brightest,

of lit moons, but to no avail,

I’ve told your tale,

to the biggest of dippers,

and as my tears before it,

one of its brightest of stars, (fell).

They say love gets stronger by the day,

yet how can I build upon that,

which I no longer have and forever have lost,

I would give a king’s ransom,

for your return, no matter whatever,

be the precipitous and/are unprecipitous cost.

Wishful thinking, I have told myself,

 time and time again,

and no time, has either wish,

ever have been filled,

Each wish is a shed tear ,

and each time I am faced,

with a wish empty bucket,

 those collective tears,

would have been spilled.

All the things I should have did,

but did not do, are my nemesis,

for which I vicariously lived

and which now, leaves me blue,

All the things I should have said,

more of but did not say,

or the simple,

yet astronomical and emotionally filled words,

of “I love you.”

I should not have let you enter my heart,

because the door was then shut

 and there never existed,

 another way out,

Like a prisoner of love,

my heart contained and pumped,

(only) by you, once reveled in happiness,

now all it does, is pout…..

You are more than an item to me,

 you have entered my life

and have by far,

blown all the attentive circuitries,

 of my heart and mind,

Never will I search again,

for that one perfect love,

the one such as yours,

in which, I will never again,

vow to find.

Tomorrow isn’t a promised day

and this night, (just as of all nights before it),

was never meant,

 to be here to stay.

But God be my witness,

I will wish for and intoxicate myself,

 on dreams of you,

each and every given,

 replenished day…..         To be continued……..

Jim
