Poem -

lies

When all is lost,

When all is gone,

When hope is dead,

When day is dawn,

When love has vanished,

When destruction takes over,

Is the day I will become sober,

But not from alcohol,

And not from drugs,

But from the sweet delusion I am drunk on.

My thought are twisted,

My tongue is tied,

In all of these venomous lies.

In the darkness of my heart,

Is where all of these lies start.

But one day the truth will come out,

Destroying friendship no doubt,

And only then can I be at peace,

With the lies that have been fed to me,

Through the darkness that lies,

In the corner of my eyes,

Because that is where my devil hides.
