Life

We are both summer and winter 
Both directions in time
But, more the frost
The snow.
Fragile as the flakes that 
live in the air
Falling, always falling
In slow-motion.
That cling to the 
Old cobwebs 
momentarily
Clutching at threads.
We are intricate 
A complex web
But oh so brittle 
So frail.
Seduced by the chance 
Lured by the dream
Of life coming closer 
But never in reach.
