Life

Life

We are both summer and winterĀ
Both directions in time
But, more the frost
The snow.
Fragile as the flakes thatĀ
live in the air
Falling, always falling
In slow-motion.
That cling to theĀ
Old cobwebsĀ
momentarily
Clutching at threads.
We are intricateĀ
A complex web
But oh so brittleĀ
So frail.
Seduced by the chanceĀ
Lured by the dream
Of life coming closerĀ
But never in reach.
