Life after Loss

Grief can destroy you

or focus you

you can decide life was all or nothing

if it ended in death

maybe every moment had a meaning

that you dared to recognize

so much meaning

that it even scare you

therefore, you just lived

from year to year

just took for granted

the love

and laughter

of each day

you didn't allow

yourself to consider

the sheer sacredness

of existence!

but when it's over

the total loneliness

hits you hard

as you begin to see

it was more that a movie

or washing up dishes together

more that sharing dinner or

worrying about the bills

the answer to the mystery

of our existence

is the love we shared

some times imperfectly

and when we awake after the loss

we see the deeper beauty

the sanctity of it

we feel grateful for life itself!!
