Life Is A Poem

Poetry allows us to express our inner feelings
Without the influences of the times
Ethereal in nature, freedom to delve into our being
To discover the wonders of the mind

The undiscovered thoughts that lie beneath
The everyday mundane tasks we endure
Deep in our souls about a life among the stars
Where no wars or strife are assured

A dreamer? Ah yes to search and discover
The meaning of life's struggles and joys
Why are we here, to fulfill some master plan
Or is there a simpler reason employed

To live, to exist and revel in life's bounty
To appreciate what we see, the joys of nature
The fresh breeze of the early morning hours
A glorious sunrise a happiness creator

Let's just enjoy this glorious revelation
Without knowing the secrets of our being
Searching for a true meaning or purpose in life
Better to just revel in the joyous feeling

Releasing the undying joy within us
To wake up smiling to another bright shiny day
