Life taught me

 Life taught me

momma once told me a home is not a place
it's where your heart is
I don't believe in fariytails
I don't believe in happy-ever-after
all I'm trying to do is survive
locked up my heart
wearing a mask
daddy said don't wish for all of your dreams to come true
because nightmares are dreams too
I don't wish on a shooting star
it's just a ball of fire
I don't look for a prince charming
its all just for little girls
braking down theses walls
I was born a girl
i was raised as a lady
But life made me a bitch

Being Me

I was born a girl

i was raised as a lady

But life made me a bitch

Oh... How that is probably true for most of us!  When life throws you shit you learn to duck, pick it up and throw it back even harder!  You have to... Its called survival. I love these last lines in your poem! Excellent x
