Poem -

Lifeblood gone

Waves lashing moonlit under a late summer sky
Winds blow
Not howling
Only gentle huffing is heard on an ignored lump of dirt
Spinning saucers surrounding
Like tiny shards
Of smashed glass in pavement

I hear not
Cover eyes
With sweaty
Broken palms
Cover sadness
Salt in water
Hardened to ice in winter

I hear not
For what is listening worth
In a world too busy to speak

And my body writhed like a dying snake
Hissing
Letting air fizzle in humming soft spurts

Let the water encompass me in its warm
Soft arms
Let the bitter taste of death snuff my once pale white lungs
Let the insects crawl in dirt
And time goes on
As my body fades

It doesn't matter how
We are not connected
There is only instinct
Forcing us out of our shells
Pretending to co operate

Nature is oiled up and evil
I dont want to let it kill me
Because its hard to admit that when the day says goodbye
Darkness always tends to win
