Life's Grip

Life's Grip

Free of the cage,
Is all that she asks.

She prays that her soul be free.

But like a mouse in a trap,
A fish on a hook,
A bird in a net,
A girl in her life,

Freedom is something she won't ever get.

Ensnared by the wires of fear,
The bars of hesitance,
The ropes of regret,
The walls of sorrow.

The soul remains trapped beyond tomorrow.

Till death is she greeted,
And life relent,
Its miserable grip,

She pray.
