Life's Oratory

Life sometimes displays, the not having lived
And acknowledges that power sleeps, in moments of reflection
It lives in times of change, in evolutions energetic state
It rains down upon me, sometimes it comes in waves and injections
Of warmth upon my face, and waters from other places I've only dreamt of
It seems to harbor innate moments, especially made for me alone
And always does its cold, then warm embrace, afford me tastes of love
It knocks me to my knees and then saves me some time to pray there
As though it were expecting me, pointing me to ponder its enigmatic portraits and shades
It begs us to differ and then begs us to forgive, what is this spell we're under
I wonder through each turning page, just how long this book really is
Or should I skip around a bit, just so I can taste of it, in as many different ways
As the Lord has provided for all of us to be engaged in, so many things to contemplate
These are the days I wait for you, I drink in the memory of you, and wear my bravest face
For it is in the lining of your imaginings, that first dared create this place
I hope some day to meet you, and say to you, how much I've enjoyed your hospitality....
