Life's a roller coaster ride

I've stepped in and fastened the belt really tight
I'm on the the ride, the ride of my life
Sick to my stomach; verdict to hear
Awaiting the incline...anticipation and fear
I'm sitting alone; but there's chaos around
End getting closer. I can see only ground
No turning back; wheels now in motion
Roller coaster called 'LIFE' with all it's emotion.
Too late for regret; heart in your throat
Feeling a coward; no time to gloat
Butterflies deep in the pit of your gut
Just a child... So keep my eyes shut
Train comes to a sudden stop before the descent
Verdict: GUILTY! To prison you'll be sent
A sudden silence hangs in the air
A mother weeps. She weeps in despair
