‘Life’s Wider Seas’

The Winter of life is nought, my child -
but! the ebbing of tides
flowing to life's wider seas,
So ne'er try to swim against life's tides -
for ere it's futile, as nature commands
our spring, summer, autumn
and winters lulling songs,
So welcome nature's melodies,
they play for you and me.
Child see, touch, smell, feel,
spring is in the air -
bringing forth life anew,
flowing for our blessed tomorrows,
Another dawn, a bright new morn,
life's cycle is ripe, to revolve once more.
..............
And all is as it should be,
but! Child even knowing this
we will deem to hold on tighter
to our summer hearts,
And tighter still as autumn's grip
grows ever closer, hungering it seems
like a beggars bowl of want.
Yet! listen, sense, the surreal mystery,
a sacredness of peace abounds in stillness,
feel the calm of nature's breathe'
her harvesting has begun.
As spring gently sways to the tune of summer,
who dances to autumn's song.
Listen carefully to nature's melodies,
for child, 'Time and Tide' awaits, no man.
.............
Each season in turn closes sleepy eyes,
ceasing their seasonal song.
Did you not feel the softness of spring
gently passing hands, clasping to our
summer heart?
Then eyes aglow, watch as our autumn
clasped her spindly fingers, to winters glove.
Child the ebbing flowing and renewing is for
us all, It's all part of life's great story,
You are here 'where you ought to be,
no more, no less, than the stars and trees.
We’re all at one within creations, great,
Infinite plan.
