Lift Them Up

How do you help a friend, when you know they are hurting? When you see that they are mistreated, how they feel so undeserving. 

They try to paint on a smile as they wipe away their tears. They tell you "I am okay", secretly wishing they was not here.
   
You see the depth of the pain,
how no one appreciates who they are. They are blinded to what you see in them from the amount of pain in their heart. 

I may not have the words to say and maybe I can not fix the situation, but I will get on my knees before the Lord to give them blessed consolation.

I will walk with them in the storms until we see the light of day, hoping they will see that they do not have to be afraid.

I will be a shoulder for them to cry on and remind them of God's love, and how He can heal all this brokeness, and to make them rise above.

Be that friend for someone instill in them that they are loved. That regardless of the storms ahead, you will always be there when push comes to shove.
