Its after 3 a.m
You are still not home,
Im guessing this means
It is just another night alone.

I prefer it this way
Rather than you being here,
With different men and women every night
The drugs, sex, and beer.

I know you hate me
Wishing I was not even alive,
You never cared anyway
Your hate you could not hide.

You saw the things that happened
Yet you allowed it to go on,
You did not care what happened to me
Even though you knew it was wrong.

But thats simply alright
Because I'm still standing,
I have someone who loves me
Who cares and is understanding.

Someone who protects me
And cares about the way I feel,
I know they will never leave me
Because their love is real.

You might have gave me life
But I'd rather have someone who is there,
Then to be with people who hate me
And simply never cared.

Ive made it this far without
I'll continue to do the same,
Because now that I'm older
I realized you will never change.

When you need somebody's hand,
Because mine will not be available
