Light In The Darkness

Some people like living their life 
under the light of the sun
But surely the meaning of life 
Is to find your own light 
And learn how to make it shine? 
I always was fascinated by the darkness 
Not because it covers a multitude 
Of sins but because in the dark 
You are able to see things 
The light of the sun blinds you to. 
Also the darkness gives each shining 
Star it's own platform to shine. 
Each shining Star is part of a greater  
Constellation of heavenly bodies 
That make up our universe. 
How important it is to shine our light 
And to have our own unique colours 
Like a disco dance of destiny. 
Everyone tells you who to be 
Or to follow them or what they do 
Well I say follow me in not following anyone
And be proud to just be yourself. 
Celebrate your colours and uniqueness 
Because nobody can do 'you' better. 
This is your life path and destiny, 
To remember who you are and 
What your soul desires and to find out 
You have to search deep within your heart 
For that talent that ignites your will. 
When you find that you will ignite a fire 
Within which will be quenched 
Every time you work on that passion. 
The more you master that passion 
The greater your light becomes.
