Lighthouse

The solitary lighthouse, formidable, imposing,
A solemn protector, among desolate forebode,
A beacon of light, to all lost at sea,
In suspended animation, till storm comes to pass,
To warn all who stray, to stay on their course,
A solitary saviour, where no help remains,
Saving all souls, from flawed navigation,
Salvation to the blind, in darkness be light,
In nature's damnation, a tempest to quell,
A beacon to the meek, forsaken, forgotten,
The lighthouse appears, unyielding to the eye,
Though no man is an island, on the inside he cries.
