Lights Out Please,

Lights Out Please,

Lights out please,
I don’t want to see it coming.
I purposely look away because it prevents me from running, daddy hasn’t always been this way.

Lights out please,
otherwise I’ll see it all coming.
His hands and anger will show on the walls I stare at, from the very dark shadows, it is very scary!

Lights out please,
the pain doesn’t hurt as bad.
I purposely prevent myself from seeing all signs ahead, mommy says eventually he will be okay.
