Like A Flower

Like A Flower

Said it looked like a flower
Which’d waited for him to bloom

Said he wanted to see the innocent pink
Stain sinfully red

Instead of plucking her
Ripping her
Not snipping her
Nipping her

Said he’d watch the petals shrink
While it bled
And crush the womb

That flower’s ruined body
couldn’t possibly be a part of me
