Limbo

As above so below
A baby with an angel's glow
Soft supple skin white as snow
Yet what's beneath is up above
A war between hate and love
A constant battle of push and shove
A mother screams on her knees
Begging for God to hear her pleas
A world of suffering and disease
Yet courageous souls with hearts of gold
Dousing the flames, brave and bold
Not accepting what's foretold
Deep within the pits of fire
Embers of souls burnt from desire
Charcoal faces on a funeral pyre
Yet here comes aid via angel's wings
The baby weeps as the Mother sings
Such hope and fierce relief it brings
As above so below
Only through loss their souls will grow
The winds of change will continue to blow
Yet what's beneath is up above
Despite the hate,Β prevails loveΒ
Fitting the hand of hatred like a gloveΒ
