A Lingering Sadness

I ponder on all the people
I've annoyed over time
With the various points of view I've stated
(I don't post these on Facebook any more- I now know better).

There are various failings
and perceived failings
On my part:
I ponder on these in poetic art.
Perhaps one day I'll be successful
Or feel successful.

It can be difficult navigating people-
The things they say and do
Whilst remaining true to oneself and one's own views; 
Accepting that others will disagree.

Live and let live is perhaps the best way to be.
