Linings

Darkness
Black clouds filling my life
with sad Darkness and rain -
rain falling down my cheeks
into my puddle of tears
deeper I stand
Thunder
crashing wildly about me
screaming thru the trees
Not caring for anything living
Wind stinging on my wet face
tossing my hair wildly
Blowing the clouds about
as if to war, then blowing away
Light softly piercing the darkness
prisming thru in a myriad of color
Rainbows lining the darkness
Showing light and the promise
of morning song.
