Not many will stand beside you
As you walk a path of pain

I wanted someone to walk with me

But my friend said; I can't deal with this

It takes a very special person
Who will listen to your heart
Who will hold the pain you're feeling
As you start to break apart
Not many will bear your suffering
Or give it the time of day
It requires tremendous inner strength
To meet someone's sorrow half way
I walk a lonely journey
With a smile on my face
I don't want to be a burden
I try to know my place
Sometimes we have to give ourselves
What other's cannot give
Bear our own pain, be tolerant
Live and let live
