Liverpool home

City roots, people proudÂ
Red or blue, a supportive crowd
Cilla and doddy and of cause the Fab FourÂ
Stories from ya Nan, memories of the war
Bombs, rashions, lost loved ones at sea
A story to tell with a scone and hot teaÂ
The woods kids would play without a careÂ
Not much to give other than sugar, nieghbours always did shareÂ
The Beatles travelling the world, singing heartbreakers
You will never walk alone, Gerry and the pacemakers
we say Errm a lot, we love the great miss Comer
we love a good market down at great Homer
The spirit is raw yet down to earthÂ
A little humble yet we stand for our worth
A city built on jokes and manners it is annoying when some let us downÂ
You do get a bad apple where ever you go but we just call them a clownÂ
Respecting your neighbour is a mustÂ
Helping each other, gaining a trustÂ
Standing as one through hard timesÂ
Tragedy, Wars, Pandemics and crimes
We Love a little harder, and we always like to greet
People passing by, strangers in the street
The liver bird stands tall if only they could talk
“I don’t want seaweed, go get the bread”  Bella and Bertie would squawkÂ
