Living 4 U

A salty drop,
A silent tear,
Dark eyes wet,
And filled with fear,
What can I hold now?
Nothing I know is near. 
A broken heart,
A ragged breath,
There’s nothing left.
Where do I go from here? 
Sitting in a bed they call mine,
In a room I don’t recognize. 
A clenched fist,
A lost child,
In a world so brand new,
Surrounded by family, friends, neighbors too,
Yet she never felt so alone.
2 closed eyes,
One blocked mind,
Hiding away from view,
Living day by day,
With no life in sight,
