Hear me

Hear me

I’m scared to open up,
To show the true me.
I’m afraid you won’t see,
The real traits that make up me.
I’m afraid to tell you,
How you really make me feel.
The pain she put me through,
The letter the tears sealed.
Will you push me down?
Or curse me out?
I’m really not quite sure,
But under all this bravado,
Under this mask I wear,
I’m insecure and scared,
You won’t appreciate my care.
