Living By The Sea

Living By The Sea

It's best - to have the turquoise magic at your feet,
takes you away to Caribbean coves where souls meet,
we walked at night and touched the stars in the sky,
it felt like velvet and they never really said goodbye

Oh sea, how great thou art, we are small in scheme of things,
two thirds of you surround us, we wait for what love brings;
the message in the bottle said: 'Whoever finds, just love me,'
'I'll be with you forever, my life is greater than yours you see.'

We frame that on our mantlepiece, wonder who they could be,
but for sure they travelled a long way with their mystery;
perhaps their life was greater than ours, forever blue,
white, purple, multi-coloured, secret shades with indigo too.

Out on the boards, we troll towards the beach, thro' blue valleys,
if ever you want to ease your soul, head towards coastal mysteries.
