Living the Christian Life

We need to stand for our faith,
Not allowing others to dignify the word of God,
And when our sisters and brothers fall,
We the children of God need to stand tall,
For the faithful and truth.
 
Everything we do is an act of worship,
Worship that brings pleasure when it’s for God,
His touch is our God-given purpose in life,
For worshiping God is truly a lifestyle.
 
We the children shall not be persecuted,
But more than ever, we fight each other;
Through compassion of the Spirit of Love,
For we become brothers and sisters.
 
God is the reason of creation and everything that exists,
His glory and His pleasure,
We, His children, have so much worth,
For we are more valuable than a priceless treasure.
 
Never will we fully understand,
To analyze and intellectualize,
With many questions and not many answers,
For there is no searching God’s understanding.
 
We are part of His blood and body,
Forever thankful for His forgiveness,
His boundless and saving love,
For He is our Lord.
 
Just shaping and molding,
Creating us into His image,
Letting God shape our lives into a vessel for His use,
For He works within our lives through His mastering hands.
 
We rise above the little things,
Like the twelve disciples that sat with Him at the Last Supper,
To overlook His steadfast love for us,
For we scream, “Are you listening to our cry”?
 
Temptation will eventually come,
Trying to find a way to escape,
Getting strong in the Lords words,
For He knows just how we feel.
 
To be like Christ,
We fill our hearts and minds with His dignifying love,
Allowing our minds to transform and grow with Him,
For we shall develop the mind of Christ through the Christian Life.
