Lockdown

How are you finding it across the globe 
Working from home, sitting in your robe 
Have you adapted like me, the days seem the same
No weekends or shopping, no pub crawls or raves 

How are you coping with maths in the kitchen
Little ones  frustrated, need a coffee your twitchin
Are you enjoying the strolls around the park 
Smiling at dogs, owners 2 meters apart

Piers Morgan to wake you up, as he is full of “sheer delight”
News at ten, wave the kids off to bed, tucked in thankgod, night night 
Are you enjoying a cheeky treat or two,  you just can’t beat a night cap 
Waking up, what’s next, no work ok, I guess I’m allowed a cat nap 

Are you keeping busy, emptying the junk drawers, to fill them up again 
Are you more organised,  it’s bin day Tuesday, full to the brim thankgod they came 
Are you Facetiming  friends with not much to say, cos there is actually fook all to do
Are you wishing for summer, because your freezing your tits off standing in Asda’s que 

Are you missing your days of family and work, just abit of a routine 
Are you like me eating with boredom, can’t even fit in my jeans 
Have you watched every killer documentary and at least one Netflix series 
Are you scrolling your phone for hours on end, dreaming of the canaries 

It’s touching a year since new rules came in, yes nobody does like change 
We’ve powered through, with ups and downs, it sure has been strange 
Give your self credit, in these uncertain times,  not everyone is feeling strong
Some have lost, battling, maybe alone, share a smile and you can’t go wrong
