Lone Blacksmith

Lone Blacksmith

The smell, the power

as the forge is fired up

sparks flashing

coke shifting

as the metal is heated

the rawness of it all

tongs holding red hot metal

hammering,  beating

shaping, heating

until the piece is right

sheer heat and noise

is all around

such a sound

hammer on anvil

the sweat, the muscle

such dedication

creating strong

traditional art

to be a blacksmith !!
