Loneliness Fades when Clouds Vanish

Loneliness Fades when Clouds Vanish

The vessel navigates alone
from the day he was born
till the hours of a new dawn,
And alone he Is in thoughts,
from the dark hours of the soul
till the early morn’ call.
But when night descends giving way
to a day anew and afresh,
The hours become powerful
and loneliness is left behind.
The vessel, once alone,
is now in the company of light.

And we are many to have experienced "the dark hours of the soul" which is a lovely, but also sadly significant, phrase. And we are many to have come through that and found "the company of light" which is another lovely phrase. And there is a reason I picked those two which is because I see them as the beating heart of your poem, a very spiritual, soulful, one.Ā

Bernie, you really see the beating heart of my poem. And I can
honestly say that you have the ability to see the heart of every poem you read. Cheers.

What would be the first stanza if you hadn't made it not so is perfect. I think you know what I mean. The finish, too. B

I do know what you mean, Rory.
You always speak in a subtle way,
and I understand it. I like that!
I very much appreciate you sharing your thoughts. Ā BĀ
P.S. Ā You said more than my poem deserves.Ā

We are alone... each one of us alone in our own brains and body's spending a lifetime reaching out, trying to connect. There is a school of thought that says death releases our consciousness from the body... maybe its physical death that finally connects us all. Great read B as always X

My wife found this on the internet half a year or so ago: "It is not fair we laugh together, but cry alone". Yet this is what happens every night and every day over and over again... Well put, ā¤ļø
