Lonely Hearts

I slowly watch people around me turn away and be apart.

We choose the paths to be upon and then slowly and surely they are all gone,

 when you are alone and tired by night.

Watch the lonely child slowly fade from sight.

 We all might move on, but we will soon be right here.

 Today is a future and tomorow may be near and gone.

 People think they have it all until they realize they were just a pawn.

One little word can start a world war, but what they hell are we fighting for.

 Take a look of what you have done and tell me who has won?

 Words are hurtful and can be true,

but the most powerful sentence is "I LOVE YOU".

We could all say this to the one we love and in the easy times.

 It just is not enough.

 Still there are always the lonely hearts that need love to.

Why can't it just be you.
