Love In The Sun

Love In The Sun

I can write songs - I want you just the way you are,
only so many notes on the scale, whiter shade of pale;
they greeted the icon - not bothered who wrote the song,
don't you realise how much effort with you to get along.

I'm a backroom boy, can't imagime performing in a crowd,
although I was invited once on keyboard with Girls Aloud;
Beach Boys sang 'Surfin' USA, before your time zombie knife,
it was 'Fun, Fun, Fun,' better than you ,why don't you get a life.

It's  strange, same sex partner doesn't have the same magic,
with bikini tops, two shorts, suddenly hope becomes tragic;
Rylan chastised me, stick to your poetry, don't write about
things you don't agree with - okay, renege, your lips start to pout.

Well, 'I Get Around,' they sang, heyday - how was it for you?
It was a 'Cruel Summer,' Taylor sang - could you write that too?
