Quickly going off the track,
Everything you had plenty of
Is mostly what you lack,
Having bypassed several stations
Losing patience with any stops,
You`re a go-getter racing
At a pace to reach the top,
Severe determination,
Elimination of regrets
Leaves you losing steam, my friend,
With immediate effect!
 
Competing in tough marathons,
Establishing discipline,
Enabling independence
Intending to win,
Your cross-country grit fits,
Endurance is the key,
It turns in your favour;
Unlocks supremacy,
Many fall behind
Resigned to giving in
Blinded by the sight
Of your 20/20 vision!
 
At school you were competitive,
Receptive, open minded,
The first to learn protection
From deception as well as I did,
Lessons were your hobby,
Expressed by a high IQ,
Never needing to say sorry
With you blessed, best points of view,
An icon for head prefect,
An example to us all,
Exempt of any defects,
At least those visible!
 
Full marks to the bright child
Merit where credit is due,
Promise from your schooling
When younger days were through,
You're holding your esteem
In a steely right hand,
Credentials to impress
Though you've lost your favourite man,
Love-life qualifications
Failing miserably,
Below-grade expectations
In the face of intimacy!
 
Academic days are over,
Adulthood took hold,
A different test, a conquest
To address your heart and soul,
A man to stand beside you,
To guide you should you falter,
And you, the woman he adores,
He hopes will never alter,
For now it`s not an option,
