Love me one more day, please.
A pair of shoeless feet, sad eyes that never meet, leaving my knees wobbly and weak.
-Can you love me one more day?:
(My original poem below.)
Thereâs so many things I want to say, so many things I wanted to do. So many things I wanted to do, with you.Â
It came as a shock, I was in my living room watching that show you suggested. An unexpected knock, followed by soft woolly socks making their way to the door. I opened it to the man I adore, with a smile on my face I wondered what was his case.Â
His eyes cast down, lips tilted in a frown. He wouldnât come through the door, the look he gave I had never seen before. When he told me we were done, it came as a shock. Turning his back to me he quickly started to walk, âwhat why? Talk to me.â But he continued to leave, ignoring the crying girl outside in her socks. Â
I didnât know what to do, did I say something wrong, or look at a passing guy too long?Â
âWait, please. Can you just love me one more day?â How can you leave with nothing to say, I donât understand how I didnât know. How I didnât see this coming, had it all been a show? Had it all been for nothing? -AuthorAAJÂ

The level of detail is outstanding. I could see a woman in her socks, trying to find a way to cope with this situation that she never saw coming.Â
