Poem -

Love One, Love All

Why must there be hate?
     Hate for no substantial reason
Hate because
     Why?
Because someone
     Practices a different religion?
     Dresses different?
     Is a different color?
Put us all in the same room together
     Lock the doors
     Turn off the lights
What differences can you see now?
Can you tell who it is you think you hate?
The person next to you
     Trying to help you
Is that person
     Black?  White?  Asian?  Hispanic?
     Jewish?  Buddhist?  Christian?
     Straight?  Gay?  Trans?
It shouldn't matter
Our unique difference should be embraced
     Learning from each other
Living together in peace
     And harmony
