Lovers' Suicide

A product of outrage for a false, selfish and destructive sort of love/mania

They feel love for liberty, for humanity and themselves,

Thinking this love supreme, like God and his will, they give it freedom;

Freedom, given unto a destructive force, love, fighting like fire,

The love harms and maims for the fiery freedom it borrows

From those without power to deny others their love, their liberty, their encroaching freedom,

And in the end, this love burns itself out like God’s eternal flame into ash; dead, forevermore.
