Luana's Canyon

Luana's Canyon

Amid canyon and desert swelter
Lies dilapidated shelter.
Small tis family that resided.
Famished as fate decided.

Father, greedy gold rush fever
Steadfast dream believer
Searching for reward
N’er returned sowed discord.

Family slowly emaciated.
Mother’s sanity dissipated.
Murder goaded by fits.
Carved begging children to bits

Into river pieces trail
Guilt brought on endless wail.
Β Starvation bested maid
On banks of river, she laid.

Hello Poetess...

Have you watched shows like Ghost Hunters or anything like that?

These people go looking for ghosts for money, fame, attention, for our viewing pleasure...

Whatever their reasons are...

When they have a ghostly experience they act all scared and nervous...

OMG!

There's something here...

It made the machine go off...

The temperature in the room dropped...

It's like come on you're going to look for something and you're going to be scared because, you found something?

What?

I don't understand...

There's so many haunted places that aren't even listed...

If I'm looking for a ghost I'm looking for a ghost...

Don't they also realize if there's a ghost they will come to you?

Ghosts can attach themselves to a person...

Follow them...

Get in the vehicle with them...

Then what would they do?

Too funny...

I watch that stuff for a good laugh...

Great write!

Thank you for sharing...

Nine Eleven

I use to dabble in this kinda stuff, it really fucked me up, I opened a gate that I can't close, the dead come and go, ghosts and demons share my space, I know how to help but I'm too afraid.

Scary stuff, this world.

I love your poetry.

Such a horror but excellent depicted Lisa!

By the way, is "delipidated" or "dilapidated"? Though I might misunderstand ;)
