Lucky

Lucky

Maybe I'm luckier than I have believed
It's for reasons that weren't up his sleeveĀ

Ā I'm even lucky that he leftĀ
Of love, he was a theftĀ

I'm lucky for the way the sun risesĀ
I'm lucky for the day of endless surprisesĀ

I'm lucky for the way Izzi looks to meĀ
For how she holds my hand, crossing the streetĀ

I'm lucky in the way of my friendsĀ
Who have taught me that true love, never ends

I'm beyond lucky to have her in my life
And lucky that he's coming inĀ
