A Magic Wand

At the strike of midnight Cinderella lost her glass slipper and the prince returned it to her
Harry Potter was a wizard and cast his many talents to prove his act
The good witch from the north gave magic to ruby slippers for Dorothy to go back home
The magician waves his wand and pulls out a bunny from his hat
All of these magical fairytale stories and mystical events are magnificent at that
Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could only wave a magic wand and those who need someone would no longer be alone
The hungry would no longer hunger, the killer would no longer kill, the poor would no longer be poor
And if we really waved that wand, no more bloodshed, no more war
People everywhere, every city, town, street, state, country, would laugh out loud, together be one, be proud, belong
If we could only wave a magic wand

Great poem! Indeed it would be great if everyone had magic at their fingertips to solve all the world's problems. Alas, we can only hope and dream.Â
Good job,
