Maisie Mouse ?

Maisie Mouse was in her element this year,  scuttling up and down the Christmas tree joining in the festive cheer..rummaging thru the rustling tinsel, climbing to the very top, she nibbled on chocolate when she wanted, twas like in a sweetie shop

Each and every morning the lady of the house, stocked up the branches of the tree especially for Maisie Mouse, well that’s what Maisie thought haha but in reality that wasn’t true, Mrs Brown’s grandchildren were helping themselves to chocolate too.. so Grandma thought it was just the children who were taking the sweeties from the tree, if only she knew the truth and the harsh reality

No sooner had the poor pensioner garnished her glittery garlands with sugary-coated candies, little Maisie Mouse would come out of her hidey-hole and grab one with her tiny handies.. greedy, gluttonous Mousey, gobbling all those Christmas tree treats.. she ended up twice the size by Boxing day and got sick of the sight of chocolate sweets
