Through the rain and stormy weather 
Will it be this way forever

Battles rip us apart 
Dropping bombs is just the start 
Funerals and a broken heart
Peoples pain expressed through art

Working life put on halt 
It’s all our doing, it’s our own fault 
To our wounds they add the salt 
We try and run, faster than a lightening bolt

All we won’t is peace on earth 
All we want it to feel some worth 
All we want is to protect our turf
All we want is a safe haven after birth
