Mary Tyler Moore
When I was a boy, a teen, and a man
I watched Mary Tyler Moore on television
Throwing her hat up in the air
Then I knew the power of a woman
With just a smile, a gesture, I knew
A woman could be beautiful, sexy and funny too
You made me laugh so hard,
Without saying a word,
In that βChuckles the Clown episodeβ
And forever I will be grateful
Thank you Mary Tyler Moore
You left an awesome legacy
Sad to see you pass,
God blessΒ your memory, and long

I'm glad that you took the time to write this poem. Mary meant I lot to me growing up and I, too, was surprised that there wasn't more tribute poems. All around great work, as always.Β
she made me laugh, had a way of being funny without words, yeah, it was weird not seeing more tribute poems, from what I know of this site, I gather most people know who she was; head- scratcher, but it's a solid enough poem to stand alone, I suppose, hey, cool comment by the way, thanks....cheers poetΒ
