MAYBE ITS UTOPIA

Harmony was achieved today
It smiled as it descended on me
Wrapping me in understanding
Enfolding me with care

Utopia
That is what I think I am swirling in
Love echoes from this mist
I can feel the vibrations that peace is emitting
I am overwhelmed with sensitivity

Togetherness
That is what I hope is being achieved
I can sense those around me
And feel their worth and pain
Clarity is dawning
Is this the end to infighting?

There is a feeling of renewal
That humbles me
A just dessert 
That perfumes all
My heart is lighter
And laughter reigns supreme

Interactions that lead to hate
Have dimmed their intensity
A feeling of long overdue fraternity
Cajoles me
I love my brother
And he me

Will it last?
Nirvana is an oddity
Peace on earth?
I think scepticism will
Soon begin to harass me
Maybe the newly created god will
Favour me

Illumination
That is why I feel so serene
Belief is now partly akin to reality
Heaven exists within me
An angel on earth
With no tinge of blasphemy
