Medusa

(Daily Relationship 2)

Medusa

Look away, look away,
With fearsome persistence.
You maintain eye contact,
With intense resistance.

I never meant to look,
I shouldn’t have shown I cared.
For your heart is dark,
With thoughts only about your hair.

Yet your interest in me is slightly concerning,
Years past, that bridge is still just burning.
And for what it's worth,
Internal peace is what I`m learning.

So, don`t look this way,
With your unwanted stare.
Look away, look away!
Do you get it?
For you, I DON`T CARE.

Please just leave me alone.
The Fish of the Sea.
