Meeting Anxiety

Anxiety came and sat down next to me
At first, I didn't recognise their face!
An uncomfortable, comfortable stranger,
Bearing witness to my distress and my disgrace!
But now I see a wolf, dressed in sheep's clothing. Tho,
Anxiety will insist it's purpose, is to serve, and protect!
But their ain't no saber tooth tiger lurking!
Just fragments of my nerves, that are wrecked!
Anxiety, the stranger who wears many disguises!
Who does their best work when I am living in fear!
You should know, I intend to train my brain like a lion,
To not jump through your hoops when you appear!
All those times I let you talk me into,
Feeling like life was filled with nothing, but despair!
Anxiety, you are the Delilha to my Samson!
But Watch out babe, cos I am growing back my hair.
