Poem -

Of earth

Salt of the earth,
Upon dry lips
A spade is a spade,
and reality rips.
Truths bitter pill,
so hard to swallow,
each man his own bible,
You get lost if you follow.
Salt of the earth,
runs from my eyes,
every tear shed like,
blood from the skies.
truths bitter pill,
so hard to swallow,
when a puddle of lies,
invites you to wallow.
Salt of the earth,
there on the ground,
Where it belongs,
the foundations sound
truths bitter pill,
burrowing deep inside,
now out in the air,
where it can no longer hide.
