MEMORABILIA MEMORY

Convicted for stealing - how can you steal a memory?
Ask O.J.Simpson - he'll think of something illegally;
I remember playing marbles on a warm manhole cover,
wishing for my own company or a younger brother.

The boy next door befriended me, a bit too familiar,
you could say it was my first relationship or similar,
the girl next door said: 'Haven't you seen one before?'
I looked thro' the fence, exposed herself thro' an open door.

All these paedophile celebs being caught thirty years later,
victims snapping, accusing, gloating like an alligator,
the eleventh commandment: 'Thou shalt not get caught,'
after all the decent things that we were taught.

Now the prisoners are painting as good as Rolf Harris,
Sacre'-Coeur - he asked them to imagine April in Paris.
