Disclaimer: This not about all men. Just the ones with no sense. And, yes, I know there are also women like this too.ย
Men With No Sense
Secrets and lies, and men with no
sense;
How they mess up your heart and screw with your head.
They trick you, deceive you, convince you you're done,
How they leave you with nothing but questions that run.
They take you and hold you and spill you the gen'
(How well they can talk when it's all about them!)
Now I walk on my own, watching birds as they fly
And I hear the Kites call as they circle the sky;
And they scream like the pain that I feel in my heart,
(A sound to the dagger that tore me apart)
I held faith in his words and believed what he said
But he promised forever, then left me in limbo instead.
All the secrets and lies, with no recompense;
How they fuck up your life, these men with no sense.

Every line in this is Soooo relatable...I hesitate to say all.men also but there are definately a vast proportion out there who behave exactly like this Tina.

The reason I love poetry is that writers have so many tools at their disposal. There is flow and rhyming...or not rhyming. There is sentence structure and length. There are beautiful words that make a line equisite to read. With all these at their disposal, a poet can target their intention so much more deliberately with fewer words than, say, a short story writer. (And I have utmost respect for short story writers). I do like experimenting with different styles. I have so much to learn and am enjoying the journey.

There's certainly some venom in them fangs (joking!...I'm not calling you a snake...or a snake with tits for that matter...It's a term I've heard many times before in my 20s)

Hi Greg!ย Not all men suck! Thank god. There are many good and lovely men in the world, yourself being among them... And I bet your sons have been well brought up too. I am proud of my own sons, they are lively people. There are friends I have made here on Cosmo. So, I do know some men with a lot of sense who are wonderful people.

Then there are those arse holes around that should wear warning tags round their dicks lol. And this poem is dedicated to them...ย And there are also some women out there that fall under this category... A lot of them.ย

Actually it IS ALL men!... ?Just kidding, this is all too relatable though for more women than men, that's just statistically true. There just are more men than women with ASP disorders. Narcissism, sociopathy is everywhere!

A fine well crafted poem. I can relate sadly. Some men (not all) truly are a senseless breed, full of hollow promises and they disappear quickly. Leaving you no understanding as to what you did wrong. You wish you could get all that time wasted emotionally investing in them but sadly you canโtย
