Poem -
Mistress Green Eyes
Be aware of your inner feelings
and stay firm, stay self assured,
all is not what it may seem
When Mistress Green Eyes is abroad.
She will toy with your emotions,
twist the pictures in your head,
she will promise to make you strong —
then crush your heart instead.
So, keep your mind and thoughts alert
don't fall prey to her temptation;
close and bolt the door against
this mistress of damnation.
She is a stalker who will wait
until her perfect victim's found —
she stakes her claim on the vulnerable
and drags them further down.
So, be aware of your inner feelings —
there are things you can't ignore
when mistress Green Eyes is here
and knocking at your door.

Oh I just got goosebumps, there's always someone like that and I have seen it far from home too, People in different places yet very much the same. It's one of the traits I least like in a person. You wrote this in rhyme and it's truly wonderful. Kudos, Being Me. 🌹 💚

I loved that, and it hit so close to home for me, not as much recently, but with my first disaster, whom you portrayed perfectly here(and a little with my last disaster). Love it. So true! Any time I've been jealous, my insecurity has only spiralled into lower depths. It's such an injustice towards ourselves, when we all have gifts - just different ones a lot of the time.
She is in all of us probably, must keep on the lookout for her.

Jealousy, whether we are affliced ourselves or on the radar of somebody else who is afflicted is a bit like a psychic war I've always thought. It is often a silent unseen nuclear war between just the two.
