Merlin
Dedicated to Terry
Chronicles on dusty page
Throve Merlin, erudite mage
Alchemy twas utmost upheld
Era when Camelot dwelled
Ancient tomes foretell
Eons ago knights excel
Endured dragons and witches brew
Brave twas those who slew
Mighty twas wisdoms allot
King Arthur assuredly sought
Morgana conspired to postpone
Rightful heir to kingdoms throne
Battle raged betwixt evil and good
Mayhem reeled where peace once stood
Dispersed all over hostile land
Both light and dark expand
Thunder rumbled, gods inclined
Withdrew magic from mankind
As wizardry subtly degraded
Powerless, Merlin too faded
