Mid Life Crisis

Mid Life Crisis

Define me
or maybe
let my spirit
blow in the wind

in your presence
reasoning goes away
common sense bows
to make believe

like an idiot
I forget what I look like
and
how old I am

my senses
begin to wallow
into  fantasy

I am
alive again

Your eyes
seduce me

I gobble up
the attention
you give

My confidence
stands

I love knowing
you
I adore our relationship
Yet I am not a fool

I know the infatuation
is one sided
and even
if it wasn't

the crush
is really meant
for imagination

it could never
become real
