Mid Life Crisis

Mid Life Crisis

Define me
or maybe
let my spirit
blow in the wind

in your presence
reasoning goes away
common sense bows
to make believe

like an idiot
I forget what I look likeĀ
and
how old I amĀ

my senses
begin to wallow
intoĀ  fantasy

I amĀ
alive again

Your eyes
seduce me

I gobble up
the attentionĀ
you give

My confidenceĀ
stands

I love knowing
you
I adore our relationship
Yet I am not a fool

I know the infatuation
is one sided
and evenĀ
if it wasn't

the crush
is really meant
for imagination

it could never
become real

Ā
